Cross-layer Localized Mobility Management Based on SIP and HMIPv6 in Next Generation Networks

چکیده
—Next Generation Networks (NGNs) are aiming to integrate different access technologies for the accessibility of heterogeneous platform under the control of IP protocol. In such a complex environment, the availability of high data rates, high bandwidth, security, and end-to-end QoS are major challenges. In this paper cross-layer localized mobility management based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Hierarchical MIPv6 (HMIPv6) is proposed to support the providence of the end-toend QoS; network and session mobility; reduce latency; and proper bandwidth management. The proposed scheme handles the mobility locally to minimize latency. Further, QoS manager is used for proper management of bandwidth. Performance analysis and numerical results demonstrate the efficiency and feasibility of proposed scheme for real time communication in terms of latency, packet loss, and traffic load.

CLAM: Cross-layer Localized Authentication Mechanism based on Proxy MIPv6 and SIP in Next Generation Networks
Abstract—In this paper we propose a novel Cross-layer Localized Authentication Mechanism (CLAM) to secure mobility in Next Generation Networks. The proposed mechanism integrates Proxy MIPv6 and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to handle the authentication locally in real-time and non-real-time communications. The design objectives of CLAM are three fold: i) handover latency is minimized by th...

IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) network is considered as an NGN (Next Generation Network) core networks by ETSI. Decomposition of IMS core network has resulted in a rapid increase of control and signaling message that makes security a required capability for IMS commercialization. The control messages are transmitted using SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) which is an application layer protocol. ...
متن کاملPMIPv6 Assistive Cross-Layer Design to reduce handover latency in VANET Mobility for Next Generation Wireless Networks
VANETs are one of the main next generation wireless networks which are envisaged to be an integration of homogeneous and heterogeneous wireless networks. The inter-networking of these wireless networks with the Internet will provide ubiquitous access to roaming network users. However, a seamless handover mechanism with negligible handover delay is required to maintain active connections during ...

Next-generation wireless networks (NGN) and internet of Thing (IoT) become two leaders of designing mobile multimedia services. The deployment of these services using heterogeneous wireless networks will be the important factor that leads to profound change in the way that these services are delivered. Also, how these services will be managed is a real challenge. Consequently, Seamless mobility...
متن کاملMobility Support for IPv6-based Next Generation Wireless Networks: A Survey of Related Protocols
This paper presents an overview of IPv6-based mobility management protocols: mobile IPv6 (MIPv6), fast handovers for mobile IPv6 (FMIPv6), hierarchical mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6), and fast handover for hierarchical mobile IPv6 (F-HMIPv6). All these protocols play an important role in the next generation wireless networks, because in such networks, mobile users need to be freely change their access ne...
